I have decided to step down from the Florida Prepper Blog. I will continue reading and commenting as long as possible to whomever Tom chooses to take over and I wish them much success.
I wish I could make everyone who is reading this realize how important it is to get your food and emergency supplies for your family ready. Even our local churches are quietly telling it's members to prepare for the very least 30 days.
There is such a large calamity that is coming and most people of like minds think it is going to happen soon. If you are lacking in the Bible reading department, I pray you start. Everything that is happening is all part of God's plan and we are going to be tested as never before. If you keep your faith, God has promised He will protect his people. I am believing with all my heart that God's people will have that Perfect Peace that He has promised us in the face of all trials. We just have to pray for the wisdom to know what to do.
I am keeping my personal blog Challenged Survival up and running and I hope you will stop by and visit sometimes.
Love and Peace to all of our Patriotic Preppers,
Brenda

Sorry to see you go. Hope all is well and stay safe!
Florida is an interesting area and I will stop in when I have news and info from that area. There is a florida plantcycling and seed swapping group that has started in the area PlantcycleFL http://groups.yahoo.com/group/plantcyclefl
I also have a daughter living down there who I like to ask about what is going on.
One topic that is close to home this season is alligator attacks. Since most freshwater in Florida can harbor an alligator people must be careful. Gators do not seek people out but rather people going down for Spring break or wanting to get outdoors after being cooped up all winter head outdoors and may not be gator aware. Most times these large beasts will move away from humans unless you come close to a nesting site or come upon them suddenly. If they are quite hungry they might strike instead of moving away; but usually they go after small or injured prey. People actually picnic in parks with gators lying down on the shore area sunning themselves looking lazy. They usually won't bother you if you don't bother them. Its still a good idea if you are in an area with gators and you are handling food, though to keep your distance and do not tease or intice them. All animals get hungry and they have big teeth!
Fantastic post! We should all remember to pray for ourselves and everyone we know. That is what keeps me sane most days. -havn't gotten to peaceful yet or at least not as often as I'd like :)
